It’s Never Too Early Too Start Thinking About Christmas

Now that the day of celebrating the mass genocide of nearly an entire race of people is over, it’s time to turn our attentions toward Christmas. What do I want for Christmas? This meme from Women Are Not Property Sex is Not a Contract sums it up for me quite nicely.

I wonder if Santa can fit that into my stocking 😉

    C’mon now!

US Thanksgiving is NOT about celebrating mass genocide. That’s what Columbus Day is for! Thanksgiving was a cover story for mass genocide. The tale of these two peoples sitting at the table as equals for one year was designed to obscure the centuries of genocide that followed. “See. We treated them like they were one of us and what did they do in return? Those savages should be happy we didn’t kill them all.”

But US Thanksgiving isn’t about celebrating mass genocide. It’s about celebrating mass consumption. It’s now nothing more than the kickoff to the orgiastic consumption that is Christmas. Christmas was once the celebration of the birthday of a homeless kid whose dad probably should have called Maury Povich.

The marketers ring a bell and the drooling imbeciles line up overnight to spend the next day fighting each other for cheaper shit they don’t need and only want because they’ve been trained to be greedy little consumers who equate stuff with love. (Isn’t that the plot for The Hunger Games?)

They’re so well trained, they continuously spend themselves beyond insolvency and toward indentured servitude. Thanksgiving is the day when the indentured servants celebrate with their feudal lords and pay them even further tribute.

Hey, Christmas is over you lazy bastard! Time to get back to work. (Or, more accurately, blogging while at “work”.)

This has been your newest article for so long, I’m starting to wonder if you’re talking about Christmas 2015.

What nothing to write about? No white cops mowing down unarmed black folk in your neck of the woods?
