Casey Anthony Found Not Guilty! OJ Simpson Points And Laughs.

Casey Anthony has been booked into the Orange ...

The 12 jurors in the Casey Anthony trial found her not guilty in the 3 year old murder case of her daughter, Caylee. Although she was convicted of 4 counts of lying to the police during the investigation, the worse she’s going to get now is 1 one year of jail for each offense. If she was convicted of 1st degree murder, she probably would have received the death sentence.

I know what a lot of people are thinking: How could a jury in their right mind return with such a verdict? What were they thinking? Did they witness the same trial as everyone else? In other words, the same questions come up that were asked after the O.J. Simpson trial.

In my mind, she was guilty as hell. Casey Anthony is an inheritantly selfish and morally corrupted person. She’s a habitual thief and liar, and yes, I have no doubt that she killed her daughter, and hid her body. However, it is the law in this country that everyone, even Casey Anthony is innocent until proven guilty. In the eyes of the jury, the prosecution did not prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. As with the OJ case, don’t blame the jury, blame the prosecution.

The prosecution had more than enough to poke holes in the defense and put her away. Anthony lied about her “nanny” as well as a rich boyfriend she and her daughter supposedly stayed with. Their was enough forensic evidence to tie Anthony’s car to the body, including the presence of chloroform and hair follicles in the trunk. The prosecution blew the case, pure and simple.

Is this a miscarriage of justice? Yes. Little Caylee’s murderer will never be caught; the prosecution already set her free by not proving their case well enough.

Don’t blame the court system, don’t blame the jury. Instead, point your fingers at the prosecuting attorney, as well as the investigators. Apparently, they haven’t watched enough episodes of CSI or Bones, to figure out how forensic evidence is to be used in a capitol murder trial.

I’m very sorry Caylee, that the state of Florida could not do it’s job well enough to bring your murderer to justice. I can only hope that lessons are learned, and mistakes will not be repeated the next time around. What really hurts my heart is that there will be a next time… Many next times.

I think the prosecution put on a thoughtful, methodical, logical case. Largely circumstantial, but most murder cases (and convictions! Hello, Scott Peterson) ARE circumstantial. The prosecutors worked best with what they had. I blame the jurors for tossing out common sense the way Casey’s tossed out Caylee. Reasonable doubt — not here. Not today. Miscarriage of justice.

This PSYCHO Casey is a very sick woman, a habitual LIAR! she will do it again, she should not be allowed ot ever have the most precious gift God can give and that is a child! She is as GUILTY AS SIN! The problem lies here with these IDIOT JURORS! They already had their mind made up I feel long ago, to have a NOT GUILTY Verdict come back so soon tells me they are truly unfit to have even been selected! SHOCKING, and one day the TRUTH shall get out about this MURDER, CASEY, the truth always comes out! You think of how far our country has gone down hill, these jurors are probably the same people that voted idiot Obama in office! SCARY to think that people don’t really THINK! May little Caylee rest in peace, one day we will get her Murderous Mother, justice one day will be served, and remember if not in our lifetime she has to stand before God on judgment day!

” They already had their mind made up I feel long ago, to have a NOT GUILTY Verdict come back so soon tells me they are truly unfit to have even been selected!” Here’s the thing, if the jury was already predetermining in their minds that she was innocent, it was the prosecutors job to find that out during jury selection. Both the defense and prosecutor has the opportunity to interview each prospective juror during selection, and accept or discount them. I sat on a jury for an attempted murder trial, and I can tell you that it is a lengthy and extensive process. Furthermore, both the prosecutor and defense has jury “experts” who are trained to analyze and advise on who is and is not acceptable.

If these jurors were indeed “idiots” then the prosecution did not do their job in identifying them and dismissing them, which leads me back to my original point: It was not the jury’s fault, it was the prosecution’s incompetence. Was it a complete miscarriage of justice? Yes. If there is a hell, does Casey Anthony deserve to burn in it? Absolutely. However everything still leads back to the prosecution. Blame them, not the jury. They had mountains of forensic evidence, and at least 90 people who could testify in some way, shape, or form in order to shoot holes in Anthony’s defense. They screwed up big time, and now a child’s murderer goes virtually unpunished.

      Thanks for stopping by!

The state of Florida can’t seem to ever get anything right. First the business with the chads and giving GW Bush the election he stole from Gore in 2000. Then a dangerous monstrous lesbian prostitute killing (OH MY!) married men who were trolling for a roll who probably deserved to be shot to death, was killed by lethal injection and then there’s Casey Anthony. The amoral brat who concocted every fable in order to get out of losing her life after she takes the life of her own 2 year old baby.

I disagree with you that the prosecution is at fault here. It was the ME who couldn’t tie Anthony to the scene of Caylee’s demise. How could he bungle that? It’s not Nancy Grace’s fault that Anthony will soon be roaming the streets of Florida – she hates the bitch. So who’s fault is it that Casey Anthony has been found “not guilty”. Well let me see….The people. The case was THE PEOPLE VS. CASEY ANTHONY. We, the people, fucked up. When Caylee’s decomposed body was found in the woods near the Anthony house with duck tape covering every hole in her head – that indicates murder. She supposedly drowned in the pool and was there any indication? If so her clothes would have chlorine on them. I mean, I can see a kid drowning in the pool but with duct tape all over her, c’mon?

It’s obvious to me Casey, Cindy and George if not her brother too – all had a hand in killing Caylee. RIP Caylee because your mother, grandparents and uncle will never be at peace. Not as long as they live in the United States and not as long as there are people who believe they are culpable in your murder.

I think if Nancy Grace had been the prosecuting attorney, the outcome would have been different. I still maintain it was the prosecution that screwed up. When all you have is circumstantial evidence, you get agressive and do your best to blast holes in the defense. They didn’t do that. They knew they didn’t have much to work with, and they acted like it. The defense was lame, and the prosecution should have attacked!

I posted this petition as I believe this was a gross miscarriage of justice, and I for one do not want to see the day when the State of Florida v. Casey Marie Anthony is used as common law to free any child murderer.

Unfortunately, they will never retry the case. Double jeopardy is prohibited by federal law. Nobody is going to stick their neck out to get that waived, even if it could be waved. They could however, take her to civil court for wrongful death. The burden of proof in civil court is on the defendant. She wouldn’t go to jail, but she could be hit hard for monetary damages. Not that anyone could put a price on someone’s life.
