What the hell am I about?

I am a very liberal-minded person who is likely to question everything and call bullshit when I see fit. I am currently studying for a BA in history,  hoping to one day teach those who truly want to learn about our past without the red, white, and blue colored glasses that our government would want us to wear. I live in Cincinnati with my gorgeous partner, two needy cats, and a sociable ground-hog that has taken up residence in our back yard. He (or she, I’m not getting that close to it to check) can be found frequently playing in the yard with many of the neighborhood cats who live under our porch. I’m not making this shit up people.

I started this blog because I feel that there can not be enough voices in the world to counter act the christian conservative,  narrow minded, prejudiced way of thinking that is smothering our society and killing our humanity.  My approach is to express my view points in an uncensored, sometimes amusing fashion. Like it or hate it, it’s how I roll. Feel free to comment on anything you read here whether you agree or disagree. I love to interact with my readers, and I love to debate.  I’m not only a half assed pundit; I’m also an attention whore who speaks my mind without the shackles of a social filter :)

Am not a football fan, although I feel there’s obviously a need and place for the sport. What galls me most are the exhorbitant salaries, and the greed for more all around. Wish those involved were more philanthropic in general, not individuals here and there demonstrating their desire to “give back” to the community that made them rich and famous.

There are other athletes, like professional dancers, who make peanuts by comparison but continue to perform their craft for the love of it. There’s definitely no greed involved in that career, except maybe to dance as much as possible, as many different roles as possible.

You and I may approach life differently, but we seem to be on the same page as far as the less fortunate are concerned. Am subscribing by rss feed. Will mention you on my blog.

thanks for liking my post…hugmamma. :)

Thanks for stopping by, and for subscribing :) I recently switched by blog from e-blogger to WordPress, and I am so happy I did. The sense of community is strong here, and everyone has been so supportive!
I agree with your point about professional athletes and giving back. Many of them make more money in a year than most of us will ever see in a lifetime, while artists such as dancers or writers for example, struggle to make ends meet while practicing the craft that they love. Life isn’t about how much wealth one can accumulate; it’s about staying true to yourself, and enjoying every step of your journey to its inevitable conclusion.

Well said. Could not have said it better myself. Thank goodness…another voice for common sense and compassion. Now how do we shout our our message to the masses? One voice at a time, I guess.

    hugs for being in sync…hugmamma.

Thanks for subscribing! I returned the favor, as well as adding you to my ever growing blog roll. I enjoy reading and interacting with those to the right. How else can I form a proper opinion without considering the other point of view? While I do have a very leftist leaning, most conservatives and I do find a common ground, although I will bite back once bitten :)

Hmmm, sounds like a conspiracy to get us to take off the hats, and expose ourselves to thought control. ROFLMAO!

      • September 27, 2012 at 10:13 am

:) … glad you check it out.

BTW – Last week I posted 4 bits of advice for Mitt Romney. Within 24 hours, Palin did the same. So tomorrow I will have a graphic comparing the suggestions.

      Keep up the good work:)

      • April 18, 2013 at 11:50 pm

        Likewise!

Unfortunately, there seems to be an abundance of opportunity for people such as ourselves to be ticked off & up in arms about…. plenty of practice I guess…[shrug]

One day we’ll get there, one day.

Not that I’m one to complain (HAHAHA!) but you need to up your production a tad.

I know. I’ve pretty much ignored the blog for months. I’m having a hard time getting into the mood for writing.

“a hard time getting into the mood”

What, you need dinner and a movie first? Romantic music? Candles? As they used to say on the schoolyard, “Suck it up, you pussy!” :)

Me, I just need anger. Lucky for me, I am angry 24/7, often to the point where I occasionally suffer from strokes. Plenty to write, just no ability to type. Which only makes me angrier.

    • July 29, 2014 at 4:32 pm

You know, I agree with you about the anger part. I just haven’t been angry. I should be: There’s enough in the world going on right now to thoroughly piss me off. Yet, I haven’t gotten worked up enough over it to go on a rant Tin foil hat style. Maybe I’ll get in the mood after a good dinner and going to see Guardians of The Galaxy. Ain’t no movie like a Marvel Movie! Unless it’s a Tarantino movie, LOL.
